Trust Merchant Bank (TMB) has resumed full branch operations across the Democratic Republic of Congo after completing enhancements to its core banking system, in a move aimed at reinforcing service stability and continuity.
The bank says the upgraded system will minimize service interruptions, improve system reliability, and ensure a more consistent banking experience for customers across its network.
Both in-branch and digital platforms are expected to benefit from improved performance and reduced downtime.
TMB’s strong operational foundation is reflected in its 2025 financial results, with total assets standing at KSh 298 billion and profit after tax at KSh 8.53 billion, representing 12.5% of KCB Group’s overall earnings.
The bank also recorded a return on equity of 21% and a non-performing loan ratio of 11.5%.
With an 18-year track record and an extensive branch presence, TMB remains a key player in the DRC’s banking sector.
The system upgrade is set to support consistent service delivery while enabling the bank to meet growing customer demand with greater efficiency and reliability.
