In a statement issued on Thursday, the NTSA Board of Directors said the appointment was made in consultation with the Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Roads and Transport.
NTSA Board Chairman Khatib Abdallah Mwashetani said Mr. Kondiwa brings more than 22 years of experience in information and communication technology (ICT), innovation, public sector leadership and digital transformation within the road transport sector.

Before his appointment, Mr. Kondiwa served as Deputy Director of ICT at NTSA, where he led the digital transformation of the Authority and its service delivery systems.
The Board credited him with spearheading reforms aimed at modernising NTSA operations and enhancing efficiency through technology-driven solutions.
The Board expressed confidence that his leadership and institutional knowledge would strengthen road transport management and improve safety outcomes across the country.
“The Board is confident that Mr. Kondiwa’s proven expertise in ICT leadership, strategic vision, transportation and deep institutional knowledge will steer NTSA to even greater heights, delivering measurable improvements in road transport management, road safety outcomes and operational excellence,” said Mwashetani.
