Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced the dispatch of a three-member delegation to the United Kingdom ahead of his planned visit to engage Kenyans living abroad.
In a statement issued on Monday evening, Gachagua said John Methu, Kanini Kega and popular Mugithi musician Samidoh had travelled to London to prepare and coordinate his upcoming visit with the diaspora community.
“This evening, I have dispatched Senator John Methu, Hon. Kanini Keega and benga maestro Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh to London ahead of my visit,” Gachagua said.
He added that the team would engage members of the Kenyan diaspora in the UK as part of broader consultations linked to the political agenda of the DCP Party ahead of the 2027 General Election.
“Our party, DCP Party, remains firmly committed to engaging the diaspora community as part of the broad stakeholders and Kenyans. Their views, as espoused in our philosophy, will inform our blueprint ahead of the August 10, 2027 General Elections,” he stated.
The announcement signals an intensifying push by Gachagua and his allies to consolidate support both locally and abroad as political realignments begin taking shape ahead of the next polls.
The inclusion of Samidoh, a popular Kikuyu musician with a strong following among Kenyans abroad, is also expected to draw attention to the tour and boost diaspora mobilisation efforts.
Further details regarding the dates and venues of Gachagua’s UK engagements are yet to be announced.
