Coca-Cola has unveiled a new campaign in Kenya dubbed ‘Coke with Meals’, as the beverage giant seeks to position its products as an everyday companion at the dining table rather than a drink reserved for special occasions.
The campaign, launched in March 2026, celebrates the role of shared meals in creating memorable experiences, highlighting how a chilled Coca-Cola can enhance everyday dining moments—from family meals at home to street food and casual dining experiences.
According to the company, the initiative is designed to tap into evolving consumer habits, where food has increasingly become a cultural and social experience, particularly among younger, urban populations.
“Coca-Cola believes in the magic of shared meals, especially in a world where food is a cultural phenomenon that brings friends and family to the table,” said Monique Katana, Director of Frontline Marketing at Coca-Cola.
“Through this campaign, we are celebrating how great food, unique atmospheres and a refreshing Coca-Cola can transform ordinary moments into shared experiences.”
The campaign is being implemented in partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and will focus on key urban centres including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Nakuru. It adopts an urban-first strategy, with a primary focus on Gen Z consumers aged between 18 and 25, including students, young professionals and digital content creators, while also targeting millennials and families.
Coca-Cola said the campaign will spotlight two main dining environments: the home, where family meals and weekend gatherings take place, and Kenya’s vibrant out-of-home food scene, including street vendors, restaurants and cafés that form a core part of the country’s social fabric.
Beyond traditional advertising, the company is leaning heavily on digital storytelling and influencer partnerships to drive engagement. The rollout will include collaborations with chefs and food content creators, as well as activations across social media, radio, television and on-ground community events.
The move comes as brands increasingly shift toward lifestyle-driven marketing strategies that embed products into daily consumer experiences rather than positioning them solely around major events or celebrations.
By anchoring Coca-Cola within everyday meal occasions, the company aims to deepen its cultural relevance in Kenya’s food scene, while driving more frequent consumption in a competitive beverage market.
The campaign signals Coca-Cola’s broader strategy to evolve with changing consumer behaviours, positioning itself not just as a celebratory drink, but as a regular feature in daily life and shared moments.
